ANOTHER WAY THEATRE are to produce William Shakespeare’s fast moving ANTONY & CLEOPATRA at the world-famous Minack Theatre, on the cliffs of Porthcurno, Cornwall from 3-7 June 2013. Only a handful of professional companies are invited to perform at this breathtaking venue each year so it is indeed a privilege to have been offered a slot. www.minack.com
The production will run at just over two hours and will also be produced at two award winning local festivals in Surrey – The Caterham and Purley Festivals - w/c 17 June and w/c 24 June.
A new piece of theatre for children, written by Chris Chambers – THE RABBIT KING - will also run in rep with ANTONY & CLEOPATRA at The Caterham and Purley Festivals, and will be co-produced by THE ARC ARTS CENTRE. We hope to cast this production with some of the actors involved in ANTONY & CLEOPATRA.
Chris & Nicky Chambers set up Another Way Theatre in 2010, keen to present classic texts inventively in challenging site specific venues. Productions to date include TWELFTH NIGHT (The Space, Hoxton Hall & The Middle Temple Hall), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Queen’s Park Swings, Caterham), MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (RSC Openstages Production at Questors Theatre) & OLYMPUS THE MUSICAL (RSC Openstages Tour to The Minack Theatre).
