Last night I was in Regent's Park watching their production of The Dream. Quite a world away from our version in Queen's Park, Caterham (date rapidly approaching - June 21) if I dare compare - more Punk Rock meets Jerusalem - but what we have in common is that we are both performing the Dream outdoors, in a Park with an amazingly gifted bunch of actors.
And whilst staring at some Eglantine in Regent's Park last night before the show, I met a girl called Tatiana (a variation of Titania apparently), which amused me - "I know a bank where the wild thyme blows/Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows/Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine/With sweet musk roses and with eglantine/There sleeps Titania some time of the night..." I took a picture of Tatiana, shared why I had found it ironic to meet her amidst the Eglantine and then we parted ways . The picture above shows the talented cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Queens Park, Caterham-On-The-Hill June 21-23. Then, on the way home I was driving behind a car with PUK the last three letters of the number plate - is Midsummer Night's Dream taking over! Then on the radio came a Nocturne - Mendelssohn - you guessed it - A Midsummer Night's Dream! Book early for our production on the swings - bring a picnic!
