Congratulations to all who took part in our half-term theatre workshop. It was fantastic working with so many enthusiastic young performers. Not only did they all seem to enjoy the experience, but they also inputted creatively to bring this original piece for children to life. Visit the education page of our website for news of future workshops for children.

Sunday saw a cast of 50 plus battle their way through OLYMPUS - following the twists and turns of the story and hearing the full score for the first time. There are pros and cons in doing a read through - but hard as they are, I think they unite minds in a common cause. Avril Jones was there taking photographs, some of which will be posted up here soon.
Penny Parks set the first Greek dance routine for the children involved in the show and we were joined by a number of enthusiastic Croydon College Students, who made up the cast. Set designer Wiggy Wilson revealed her design for the show (pictured above) adapted to both The Ashcroft Theatre and The Minack Theatre, Cornwall. We have increased our quota of men in the show, but we still need a couple more - do you know someone local to Croydon who would like to be involved? Please Email if you do. |
