![]() So there it is - all done. Pictured are the cast at Middle Temple Hall over the weekend, where we performed Twelfth Night to a healthy number of people. The whole experience was fantastic and it was a privilege to bring Twelfth Night to life in the venue where it began it's journey back in 1602. Watching the show in that space verged on the metaphysical at times. There were moments and lines in the show that spoke louder than in other venues. It should be remembered that Shakespeare wrote Twelfth Night in quite a hurry, borrowing ideas from previous productions - and the text appears to have been specifically geared towards the Middle Temple fraternity. There are frequent referrals to matters of law and The Middle Temple Hall is described accurately in some detail - "bay windows as transparent as barricadoes and the clerestories to the south-north are as lustrous as ebony..." Performing our version of Twelfth Night in that space made us feel like we were close to Mr. Shakespeare himself. A fascinating experience, a cast that gave their all - a pleasure to watch. Thank you to everyone involved and all those who came to support us.
